Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Create engaging and impactful digital content for the relevant social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager to develop content strategies that align with the GSWMA mission and audience engagement goals.
- Edit and produce high-quality visual content using photo and video editing software.
- Stay updated and keep abreast with current trends in digital media and incorporate such innovative approaches in content creation.
- Participate in strategic planning engagements, discussions and brainstorming sessions within the communications department for the effective application of creative ideas for campaign themes and content.
- Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for user experience across all channels.
The successful applicant should possess the following minimum qualification and experience:
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Proven experience as a Digital Content Creator, or similar role in digital media.
- Proficiency in industry-standard photo and video editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in Television production including, development of story boards, stage/set establishment/management, use of photography and video recording equipment.
- Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in an engaging and accessible manner.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
