Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Liaise with local schools and community groups in the promotion of new initiatives of the GSWMA.
- Support the development of proposals and concepts for new education programmes and extensions to current programmes.
- Support the development of strategies for new education ventures within GSWMA.
- Contribute to the design of impactful, scalable and sustainable education interventions.
- Provide project management support to new initiatives within GSWMA.
- Facilitate and respond to requests from schools for engagements with the GSWMA and coordinate with units within the GSWMA where their support may be required for such engagements.
- Seek approval and support from the Ministry of Education prior to engaging schools for projects, campaigns and activities that involve schools, colleges or institutions within the school system.
- Seek support from stakeholder institutions including NGOs, statutory bodies and related corporate partners for education initiatives.
The successful applicant should possess the following minimum qualification and experience:
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field,
- Teacher training certificate or related diploma,
- Experience in project development
- Experience of designing/ writing/ evaluating project proposals
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise a large workload
- Experience in a similar role
- Strong programme management skills.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity and people management skills
- High standard of computer competency and literacy.
